“Blue Mountain State,” which aired its series finale in November 2011, followed the often boorish hijinks of a Pennsylvania college football team in Pennsylvania led by Thad (Alan Ritchson), Alex (Darin Brooks), and Sammy (Chris Romano). Denise Richards also starred as the wife of Coach Daniels (Ed Marinaro).
The series aired for three 13-episode seasons on Spike, experiencing significant audience growth in its second season and dipping to about 900,000 viewers in Season 3. When Spike passed on renewing the series for Season 4, Lionsgate considered shopping it elsewhere, but recently notified cast and crew that it would not be revived. Damn you Lionsgate!
